The road to Gibellina
Foi difícil de encontrar, mas também lá conseguimos chegar:
(...)The earthquake destroyed the whole village in 1968. The artist Alberto Burri buried half the ruins in concrete, retaining the line of the streets, covering the blocks of houses to about six feet.(...)
(...)We could see the road across the valley from the ruins and Burri's concrete "creto" - it would give a good view of the ruins. But we couldn't find the road. There was no one around to ask. We drove along a few field tracks following the topography, up over the crest of the hill, and there it was - a 100 yard stretch of road, coming from and leading nowhere.(...)
